Finding Joy in the Journey with Crystal Steers
After getting her B.A. in Psychology in 2010, Crystal realized she didn’t want to pursue a career in any of the available fields related to her area of study.
Finding herself in an unhappy place, she took some drastic steps and sold most of what she owned and moved across the country to a place she had never been. That change gave birth to a whole new life and mindset for her.
She started Chasing Happiness, a business built around the fact that everyone deserves to be happy and live a life that is meaningful to them, as a way to help others make changes in their lives.
Through one-to-one coaching, A Podcast, A Book Club, and Public Speaking engagements Crystal is helping people to chase their dreams, regardless of where they find themselves in life. She believes that everyone has a story to share that others can learn from if they are willing to listen.

Ways to Create Calm in Your Day (The Final Installment of the Create More Calm in Your Life Series)
So, this last episode in the series, Creating More Calm in Your day, pulls together elements of parts 1-3 and builds that final framework for your overall life.
Reconnecting to yourself, to your interests and activities is key.
CALM comes from anticipating things not always going to plan (cause, unfortunately, they don’t), and pre-deciding what your options and choices are to help you keep it together.
So HOW do you find this CALM and EASE?
Calm can come from choices you make in:
☀️the moment
☀️your mindset
☀️your environment
☀️how you structure your day
Imagine having:
- Less frustration as you're trying to get out the door in the morning.
- More time spent with the people you love, doing things that are important to you
- Not going to bed feeling overwhelmed by all the things you didn’t get done.
- More habits that keep you productive and happy.
- Less anxiety over household chores getting (or not getting) done.

How to Go From Busy to Productive
Busy ≠ Productive
Busy = Busy
Are you always on the go? running from one thing to the next?
Do you take moments to just be present?
Sit and do nothing that looks outwardly productive?
There’s nothing wrong with doing. Sometimes we love what we’re doing, and that’s great! But too much doing can also be a form of avoidance.
This episode shares some simple ways to shift from busy to productive to help you ditch the overwhelm and guilt, manage your day with ease, and have more time for self-care and fun!
4 Tips to Prioritize Your Self-Care Every Day
I’m not talking about a spa day or a girls’ weekend away (even though I love to do these things too).
I mean the kind of self-care that is seamlessly integrated throughout your day - a couple of times a day - every day...
A LIFESTYLE.
A way of living and presenting yourself and believing in yourself that FEELS GOOD.
It's not just a "do once" type of quick fix, it's the things you DO every day.
A system of routines and habits that help create a FLOW, ENERGY & LIFESTYLE that you love.
Are you tired of:
- the overwhelm and stress of too much to do and not enough time
- #momguilt if you take some time for yourself
- Feeling tired and irritable and just feeling like you’ve lost yourself?
Don’t save your self-care for a special day and hope that it lasts all week.
You can;
*accomplish your tasks at work and home,
*spend time with your kids and
* have the ease and breathing room to take time for the things you want to do
WITHOUT the #momguilt

how can we start to reframe the way we think about our day,
stop the juggle,
stop the overwhelm, and
start to build our day in a way that helps let go of #momguilt.
Even if your day still looks a little crazy or a little overwhelming - it’s OK. You shift your mindset in a way that doesn't leave you feeling like you let anybody down. You can still find the fun in those moments and walk away knowing that you are building time in your day to be a better mom and a better version of yourself.
Shift Your Mindset & Perspective and Reclaim Your Time
How shifting our mindset & perspective about our tasks and activities can change how we think about those items, how we think about our time, and the benefits that we get from it. Maximizing our most productive times and finding the fun in the everyday!
May (and Everyday) for Mental Health Awareness
May is Mental Health Awareness Month (though I kind of think every day is). We need to prioritize and plan for something, not just when we are struggling, but also through our self-care and stress management every day.
The first step is to normalize the conversation. I’ve heard several times this year the phrase “It’s ok to not be ok” and really feel that the more we can embrace this - the less stigma and avoidance of seeking treatment we will see.
Check-in on yourself and others and offer a safe place to be vulnerable and honest.
