May (and Everyday) for Mental Health Awareness

“We are in the same storm….but not in the same boat” - unknown

May is Mental Health Awareness Month (though I kind of think every day is).  We need to prioritize and plan for something, not just when we are struggling, but also through our self-care and stress management every day.

The first step is to normalize the conversation.  I’ve heard several times this year the phrase “It’s ok to not be ok” and really feel that the more we can embrace this - the less stigma and avoidance of seeking treatment we will see.

Check-in on yourself and others and offer a safe place to be vulnerable and honest.
